My parents used to bring me here when I was kid after visiting my grandma in City Terrace. Either the food has gotten worse or I've just had much better since the. I agree with one Review stating that the flavor in the meat is gone. I ordered the Chile Verde platter and let me tell you. The pork chunks were tasteless & lacking good texture. The last time I came a year ago, it was the same problem with the Chile Colorado. Meat was bland and dead. Salsa is 'okay' but definitely lacking. RIP Manuel, I remember when he used to greet us at the door when we came & went.

The wet burrito was huge and tasty. It was big enough for like two to three people to share though. The staff was nice and the restaurant wasn’t too packed in the early afternoon.

You want real authentic Mexican food? This is the place! Not only is the food delicious, but the portions are generous. It is a small restaurant, very clean and has large parking lot. You might wait to get a table, but it's definitely worth it. Our waiter was amazing with a big personality and the cutest mustache. Tip him well he deserves it. Back to the food, if you are an old customer like me, you'll find items not listed on the menu but if you ask for it they will make it for you like the Hollenback burrito, Manuel's burrito and so on. I love this place and totally recommend it!

This iconic café is a place that everyone should try once. I ordered the green chili burrito, and it was a foot-long and 4” wide. Located in the heart of East LA, expect a line and 30 minute wait to get inside the cafe.
